Viktor Orbán launched a series of consultations on the post-epidemic situation, “post-Covid”; After a meeting with the president of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences on Friday, the prime minister consulted with family NGOs on Monday at the Budapest building of the Center for Single Parents, Bertalan Havasi, the prime minister’s press chief, reported to the telegraph office.

According to him at the meeting

  • Anna Nagy, Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of the Center for Single Parents,
  • Katalin Kardosné Gyurkó, president of the National Association of Large Families,
  • Fruzsina Skrabski, President of the Three Princes, Movement of the Three Princesses,
  • Tünde Fűrész, president of the Kopp Mária Institute for Population and the Family (TESORO) and
  • Katalin Novák, Minister without a Family Portfolio, participated.

Various proposals will be presented to the government

Viktor Orbán reported on the event in a video shared on his community page. He explained that the country should not only restart economically, since families suffer from confinement, isolation.

According to the Prime Minister, we need a plan on how to restart schools, how to restart sports, professional circles, how to reorganize summer camps, not at all – how to regain enthusiasm for the life of the country, self-confidence and mutual trust. He noted that they have received many good proposals, several of which will soon be delivered to the government.

The Single Parents Club Foundation has been operating the Single Parents Center since 2018, which is a pioneering initiative not only in Hungary but also internationally. The center was created with the aim of creating equal opportunities for more than half a million single-parent children and helping single-parent families in the daily life as a means of support.
