About a thousand people participated in the demonstration, which was organized by students from the University of Theater and Film Arts (SZFE) for Monday night in front of the institution’s building on Vas Street. Several renowned theater and film professionals also gave speeches at the event, as well as bands that performed. The demo finally ended with an incoming storm, which we will report on soon with a video report.
Speaking of the movement, as of September 1, SZFE will be under the direction of a foundation, headed by Attila Vidnyánszky.the Ministry of Maintenance for student management and the institution despite their protests.
During the day, the university leadership and the Senate announced their resignations at a press conference. His decision was justified by the fact that after the change of model, all essential elements of the autonomy of the SZFE were abolished.

As of September 1, the Senate, the university’s main decision-making body, will no longer be
- cannot decide on its own rules,
- you can’t interfere with the budget,
- cannot adopt an institutional development plan,
- you cannot elect the rector of the university
- He does not have the right to independently appoint institute directors and department directors to start classes.
