There can be a large difference of up to 60,000 HUF between the extra money of the first-line nurses who care for patients infected with coronavirus, many of whom have been transferred to another institution, according to an interview conducted by Népszava with Zoltán Balogh, president of the Hungarian Chamber of Health Professionals.

The amount depends on who works in which hospital. Institutions that pay less can be left without skilled workers, because in addition to current wages, employees are willing to change by up to 20-30 thousand forints. What’s more, you don’t even know when the benefit you get from paying for a patient at another institution will be paid. Due to the delay in inter-hospital arrangements, in recent weeks many have received only the base salary, no variable salaries have been received

The speaker of the chamber told the newspaper.

It also turned out that due to billing delays between hospitals, many received only part of their salaries after relocation. The intermittent loss can be up to 30-100 thousand guilders, while you are not at work:

There is a worker who leaves at 4:15 and arrives home at 10 at night due to the detour, which involves a journey of 40 to 100 kilometers.
