The new coronavirus infection (COVID-19) was detected in 3,221 new Hungarian citizens, increasing the number of infected people in Hungary to 259,588. Most of the 160 deaths were chronically elderly patients, bringing the number of deaths to 6,280. The number of recovered people is also constantly growing, currently 76,270 people, the number of actively infected people is 177,038. 19% of the actively infected, 22% of the dead and 24% of those recovered are from Budapest. The epidemic cannot be stopped, the goal remains to stop the epidemic and protect the functioning of hospitals. Service providers and services that are not mentioned in the regulation (eg hairdresser, massage therapist, personal trainer) can normally operate under curfew rules.
The regulations introduced so far on the use and maintenance of distance remain in force, with the obligation to wear a mask in some public areas of settlements with more than 10,000 inhabitants. It is the responsibility of the mayor to designate the areas. It is not yet mandatory to wear a mask during sports activities, as well as in parks or green areas.

Restaurants cannot accept guests, they can only stay there to bring food. Hotels cannot accept tourists, only guests arriving for business, economic or educational reasons. Nurseries, kindergartens and primary schools are open up to the eighth grade as usual, with special institutional protection measures determined by the principal. High schools and universities have moved to a digital agenda.
