The opposition parties issued a joint appeal to Charles Michel, President of the European Council, Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission and President-in-Office of the Council. The announcement was signed by the presidents of the parties.

The parties stated that, given the “seriousness of the situation caused by the destructive policy of the Hungarian government”, they considered it necessary to state that

Viktor Orbán and his government are not equal to Hungary.

As reported:

By obstructing European and Hungarian crisis management, the Orbán government acts against the legitimate interests and expectations of European and Hungarian citizens.

According to them

a corrupt and undemocratic regime has taken over Europe and Hungary,

deprive Hungarian and European citizens of their rights and subsidies and thus want to work together to “enforce the rule of law as soon as possible”.

They stressed that in the current crisis, Hungarian citizens and their companies also need the support of the European Union for reconstruction. Therefore, the institutions of the European Union and the governments of the member states have been asked to:

find a solution so that the selfishness of the Orbán government does not become an obstacle to the solution of the European and Hungarian economic crisis, and Hungarian citizens and companies who fear for their safety and existence can obtain as soon as possible the support that the Union European claims for Hungary.

Finally, the Hungarian people were invited to join his booth.

Opposition parties have already vehemently criticized the government’s draft veto of the EU budget, and local referendums would be launched in several municipalities to ensure that at least half of the EU aid fund to deal with the economic impact of the coronary virus epidemic go to local governments.
