The new coronavirus infection (Covid-19) was detected in 578 new Hungarian citizens, increasing the number of infected people identified in Hungary to 369,288, writes koronavirus.gov.hu.
There were 78 deaths, mostly elderly, chronic patients, bringing the number of deaths to 12,656, they said. The number of people cured is also constantly increasing, currently 268,803 people, the number of actively infected people has decreased to 87,829 people. 3,729 patients with coronavirus are treated in the hospital, 272 of them with ventilators.
So far, 243,036 people have been vaccinated, of which 68,526 have already received their second vaccination.
The campaign-type vaccination of health workers was completed and 82,000 people have already used the vaccine in nursing homes and residential social institutions.
The oldest registered for the vaccine will continue this week, they will be sought by your GP these days. However, the vaccines scheduled for this week must be redesigned by the vaccination team because fewer than 11,000 doses of Moderna’s vaccine were received on Sunday instead of the promised 18,000 doses. So this week, fewer older people can get the vaccine from their GP.

A shipment of the Pfizer vaccine is expected to arrive on Tuesday, of which registered seniors will be vaccinated primarily at hospital vaccination points.
On Monday, 1,124 people were diagnosed with the infection and 54 died.
