By Tuesday, the new coronavirus infection (Covid-19) had been detected in 1238 new Hungarian citizens, increasing the number of infected people in Hungary to 306,368. Most of the 180 deaths were chronic elderly patients, thus the number of deaths rose to 8,462. The number of cured people is also constantly growing, currently 108,676 people, the number of active infected people is 189,230 people. 18 percent of the actively infected, 20 percent of the dead and 21 percent of those recovered are from Budapest. A day earlier, 2,141 people had been diagnosed with the new coronavirus infection, and 183 chronic patients, mostly elderly, had died. Lieutenant Colonel Róbert Kiss, deputy chief of the Operations Center of the Operational General Staff, announced on Monday:
From the afternoon of December 24 until the morning of December 25, the curfew in Hungary will be suspended.
At an operative tribe press conference, National Medical Director Cecília Müller said:
Consider visiting your elderly or vulnerable relatives, because while they respect your holy body, it is not a relaxation, just a choice to live with to keep you safe.
It was said at the press conference about the Christmas arrangements: when it comes to private events, the limit of ten people is maintained, but as before, those under 14 are not included in the number.

The operational tension emphasizes that the goal remains to curb the epidemic and protect the performance of hospitals. This is addressed by the emergency protection measures announced by the government, which have been extended by the government for one more month, so the current curfew will remain until January 11.
The European Commission authorized the marketing of the coronavirus vaccine from Pfizer and Biontech on Monday night. This is the first vaccine against Covid-19 caused by the SARS-Cov-2 coronavirus, which could begin to be used massively in the European Union. The decision was announced by the President of the Commission, Ursula von der Leyen. He said the vaccine would be available at the same time and at the same price in all 27 EU countries through marketing authorization.
In Hungary, more than 300,000 people have already registered for vaccinations, and the government has so far ordered 17.5 million doses of vaccines. Once there is a suitable vaccine approved by the authorities, the vaccines will be administered according to the vaccination plan, giving priority to health workers. The post office will deliver the letter to the pensioners in December, informing them of the possibility of registration by the National Medical Chief Cecília Müller. Retirees can also report their need for coronavirus vaccination by completing and returning the form attached to the letter.
VACCINATION WILL BE FREE AND VOLUNTARY.
The government has suspended the senior shopping time zone so that there is no tumult in stores during Christmas shopping. The suspension will remain in effect until a decision to the contrary is made. Anyone can shop at grocery stores, pharmacies and drug stores with no time limit. It is still mandatory to wear the mask when making a purchase.
The third round of group-specific testing has also been completed. In recent weeks, a total of 430,000 rapid tests have been carried out among daycare, kindergarten, school, social, health, government and district office workers. Rapid tests were lower than expected, with less than two percent of those testing positive.
There is still a curfew between eight in the afternoon and five in the morning, everyone has to get home at eight at night.

Stores, with the exception of pharmacies and gas stations, can stay open until seven at night and then open after curfew expires, so they can open at five in the morning at the earliest. Service providers and services that are not mentioned in the regulation (eg hairdresser, masseuse, personal trainer) can normally operate under the curfew rules.
All meetings are prohibited.
Restaurants cannot accept guests, they can only stay there to bring food. The hotel cannot accept tourists, only guests arriving for business, economic or educational reasons. It is prohibited to carry out any type of event, including cultural events and Christmas fairs. Sports matches must be held behind closed doors. The use of leisure facilities, including in particular fitness rooms, indoor swimming pools, museums, libraries, cinemas and zoos, skating rinks, is prohibited.
Nurseries, kindergartens and primary schools are open until the eighth grade as usual, with special institutional protection measures determined by the principal. High schools and universities have moved to a digital agenda.
Private and family events (such as birthdays) can be held for up to ten people. Funerals are allowed for up to fifty people. Weddings can be held without a wedding, however only certain people can attend the event.
Public parking is free. Commercial P + R, Parking, Parking, Enclosed Surface Parking, and Unoccupied Surface Parking are available free of charge from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. The facility operator is obliged to allow free parking during this time zone.
The police strictly control compliance with the rules, impose fines and close places where regulations are not followed. The soldiers support the work of the police in various cities in the country and ease the burden of health workers in the hospital. To stop the spread of the community continues
