There were hardly any vacancies in the city of Győr on Saturday morning, RTL Klub Híradója reported on the prevailing conditions in the municipal seat. Since November 4, according to the decree of the Orbán government, here you do not have to pay for parking in the common areas either, but the mayor of Fidesz, András Csaba Dézsi, is now changing this and transforming his downtown public car parks into one called restricted waiting area.

There will be a time zone in which even those who do not have a pass will be able to enter the public parking lot of the center, that is, from Monday to Friday from 11 am to 4 pm Outside this period, those who do not have a pass can park in a parking lot payment or in an underground garage.

According to the mayor, this was necessary because free parking did not provide space for motorists living in the city center. He stressed that this does not mean that parking in the city center will be paid.

Parking is free, and this is the only way to distinguish between those who have access to the city center, whether for work or home.

The specialist Péter Váczi told the news that the mayor had found the legal loophole on the issue of parking, but it is not so sure that the legislator likes it.
