The Israeli embassy in Hungary responded to Twitter with a very resounding opinion from Szilárd Demeter, general director of the Petőfi Literary Museum, comparing György Soros with Hitler and the pressure of illegal migration to the Holocaust – read on the newsklikk.hu portal.
We completely reject the use or misuse of Holocaust memory for any purpose, as it sadly appeared in an op-ed today. There is no place to link the most serious crime in human history or its perpetrators with any contemporary debate, no matter how significant.
– writes the embassy of the Jewish state in Hungary in the entry in English language.
We strongly reject the use and abuse of Holocaust memory for any purpose, as it sadly appeared today in an opinion piece. There is no place to connect the worst crime in human history, or its perpetrators, with any contemporary debate, however essential.

The Index also reported that Demeter Szilárd called György Soros a liberal Führer and, according to the director, György Soros’s gas chamber in Europe. Other Hungarian organizations and public figures also responded to the words of the museum director, who was also reported by the Index.
According to the organization, the opinion piece is incompatible with the government’s zero tolerance for all forms of anti-Semitism.
