The manual for the prevention and therapy of coronavirus infections has been revised again the Human Resources minister said at an online press conference on Tuesday. Miklós Kásler emphasized that almost at the time of the outbreak in Hungary, experts had gathered the knowledge published in the literature and had made a proposal for the treatment of patients.

Based on this, hydroxychloroquine was used at the beginning of the epidemic, without side effects or complications, and remdesivir and favipiravir, as well as steroids and anticoagulants.

Meanwhile, knowledge about the course of the disease has also been constantly expanded, so the manual has been updated several times, but no fundamental changes were needed. The possibilities of diagnosis, therapy and epidemiological measures have been revised again, and the manual already contains these recommendations.

Miklós Kásler: Hungarian healthcare will be able to withstand the pressure
