A letter from the rector of the institution was published on the university website, in which he writes about the following decision:
The academic year 2020/2021 can be continued from February 1, 2021, until then no educational activity can be carried out at the university in any way.
At the same time, one of the SZFE students simply finds the content of the letter absurd.
Suspension of education is the responsibility of the Office of Education and not of the board of directors headed by Gábor Szarka. As we have not received official notification from the Office of Education, we believe that education will continue at the university. “
Students also seek the opinion of lawyers on the matter because they believe there is no legal basis for suspending education. Therefore, they remain in the institution.
It also turned out this week that Gábor Szarka had not yet signed the references that would have allowed students to receive social benefits in September-October.
“Support for those who need it most is withdrawn,” said Dora Gálosi. The amount of two months can reach up to 70-80 thousand florins for some people.
