In his greeting, Péter Szijjártó said that Hungarian-Bavarian cooperation plays an important role for Hungary in the fields of economy, trade, education and culture. Bavaria is Hungary’s number one trading partner and the second largest number of Hungarian investors from the German provinces.
Marcus König, mayor of Nuremberg, said there were about 100,000 Hungarians in Bavaria and 12,000 in and around Nuremberg. In the future, they will no longer receive all the help they need to manage their affairs, not only at the Consulate General in Munich, but also in Nuremberg.
On the popular community page, Péter Szijjártó shared a video showing the teqball table invented by Germany, which is now known all over the world, in the presence of the German mayor of Nuremberg, and young soccer players improvising a teqball game playing cat.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade was also received by Lothar Matthäus, one of the most successful German footballers, who was received as a friend by Péter Szijjártó. Matthäus jokingly commented that due to the epidemic, he did not even know how to greet the Foreign Minister. Smiling, Peter Szijjártó asked not to be too close.
