Most of the recently registered infected people in Hungary contracted the coronavirus at a party, wedding or some event indoors, János Szlávik, chief physician of the Department of Infectology at Central Hospital South Pest, told HírTV. To those who attended such events, Slavik told them to observe the symptoms for themselves and not to visit their grandmother much in the two weeks after the event. Then he added:

This statement is in stark contrast to what Gergely Gulyás, head of the Prime Minister’s Office, said on Friday. She highlighted in the government information that
If we close the borders, (..) and follow the existing rules at home, of which I would like to highlight those relating to the use of masks, distance and hand washing, the spread of the virus can be controlled.
