Late on Friday night, parents of students in seven classes were informed by email from Gyula Derkovits Primary School in Szombathely that the coronavirus test of one of the institution’s teachers was positive – Nyugat.hu reported . According to the newspaper, the information letters were sent by the professors of the corresponding departments.

The letter also wrote that the parents had been notified in consultation with the National Center for Public Health, and students in the seven classes taught by the teacher had been quarantined since Saturday morning. The affected children will not be able to go to school from Monday. The management of the institution is awaiting instructions from the authorities.

In Szombathely, teaching was stopped at a music school at the start of the week after all teaching staff were quarantined due to a coronavirus infection. According to the West, the coronavirus also appeared in a third institution, the Dorottya High School in Kanizsa.
