Much more people are satisfied with the leadership activities of former mayor István Tarlós than with Gergely Karácsony, according to a new survey conducted by the Miradores Institute with 800 people.

To the question of

“Who has managed Budapest best so far?”

István Tarlós was appointed by 46 percent of the capital’s population and his successor by 26 percent. The researchers added, “It is a long-known fact” that Gergely Karácsony is a popular politician whose “image cannot be tarnished by specific issues,” but his popularity does not necessarily lead to satisfaction and possible re-election.

On the subject that

“Should Gergely Christmas remain after the next election”,

There was a 40 to 40 percent tie between supporters and opponents.

The Perspective Institute conducted its survey on the anniversary of the municipal elections, according to which 48 percent of the people of the capital like it and 42 percent did not like Gergely Karácsony. The proportions are in line with the final result of last year’s mayoral election. Researchers find this result interesting because they believe it has been around for the last year.

“The new city administration has made few spectacular and important decisions,”

what the people of Budapest would be satisfied with.
