On Monday morning, Péter Szijjártó received British MP Liam Fox in his office, and the chancellor also posted about their joint press conference on his Facebook page. In the last two minutes of the press conference, Péter Szijjártó answered questions he received from RTL Klub, which again focused on luxury sailing on the Adriatic.
Péter Szijjártó had the following to say about the case:
As for the RTL Club question, dear editor, I cannot tell you anything new on this subject. The fact is that I still consider my free time with family and friends to be part of my private life. Since I have been working on this track, I have drastically separated my public and private work, and this will continue to be the case in the future. This applies, Mr President, to the public and also to my decisions. So never a single moment of privacy, if I may put it that way, has influenced any decision I make at work, and it will not affect me in the future. This is so dear editor, if you, you, constantly show the bodies of my 6 and 9 year old children in bathing suits, even if they have their faces covered. I would like to add one more important thing: the decisions to reject the investigations launched in this case last week also support this truth. Never, since I have worked here, have I made a decision that is paved with corrupt intentions, I have never allowed corrupt intentions to surround me.
Péter Szijjártó closed the press conference.
