In a petition, Mihály Szajbély, former dean of the Faculty of Arts, asks the Senate to vote again on the change of model of the University of Szeged, wrote hvg.hu. The university’s dizzying model change was voted on Friday, but several complained that Chancellor László Rovó did not conduct the vote clearly and it was not clear to others during the online discussion about the epidemic why they were voting. As hvg.hu wrote, the situation was complicated by the fact that finally, they had to decide on a modified proposal for a decision, which was received only that day.
Therefore, he urges the former dean, who, by the way, had already expressed his concern at the time of the idea about the lack of guarantees regarding the autonomy of the university, which he would have liked to see in the articles of incorporation, to repeat voting.
The portal recalled that Mihály Szajbély also presented an amendment proposal for Friday’s meeting, but when it was analyzed, he did not receive the floor.
