Starting Monday, there will be soldiers in 93 hospitals to help with health tasks in the fight against the coronavirus epidemic.
There is a curfew between 8 pm and 5 am, everyone must be home by 8 pm So far, the police have acted in a total of 2,675 cases for violating the curfew. A case of exemption from the curfew is work, which, however, must be justified. You can find a sample certificate by clicking here.
Stores, with the exception of pharmacies and gas stations, can stay open until 7 p.m. and after curfew expires, so they can open at 5 a.m. at the earliest. Service providers and services that are not mentioned in the regulation (eg hairdresser, massage therapist, personal trainer) can normally operate under curfew rules.
The norms introduced so far regarding the use of masks and the maintenance of distance remain in force, with the obligation to wear masks in public areas of settlements with more than 10,000 inhabitants. It is the responsibility of the mayor to designate the areas. The use of a mask is not yet mandatory during sports activities, as well as in parks or green areas.
All meetings are prohibited. Restaurants cannot accept guests, they can only stay there to bring food. Hotels cannot accept tourists, only guests arriving for business, economic or educational reasons. It is prohibited to carry out any type of event, including cultural events and Christmas fairs. Sports matches must be held behind closed doors. The use of leisure facilities, including in particular fitness rooms, indoor swimming pools, museums, libraries, cinemas and zoos, skating rinks, is prohibited.
Nurseries, kindergartens and elementary schools are open until the eighth grade as usual, with special institutional protection measures to be determined by the principal. High schools and universities have moved to a digital agenda. The government has issued a decree whereby a fixed Internet access service will be available free of charge for thirty days to students and teachers of digital education in public education and vocational training.
Private and family events, for example: birthdays, can be celebrated for up to 10 people. Funerals can be held for up to 50 people. Weddings can be held without a wedding, however only certain people can attend the event.
Everyone in Hungary has a hospital bed, healthcare, a ventilator and, with the protective measures already in place, the goal is to keep it that way. Protection measures serve to curb the epidemic and thus protect health care performance. In order to continue providing hospital care to coronavirus patients with the increasing number of patients, additional capacity-building measures were ordered: deferred surgeries were suspended, and the number of hospitals included in care and hospital beds reserved increased. for coronavirus patients.
The police strictly monitor compliance with the rules, impose fines and close places where regulations are not followed. Soldiers support the work of police officers in various cities across the country and are involved in enforcing restrictions and curfews, as well as maintaining public order and public safety. Furthermore, under proper professional supervision, healthcare workers are relieved of their duties in tasks that can be performed without a healthcare professional qualification and provide oversight and protection for individual designated institutions.
The government is negotiating a coronavirus vaccine on several fronts to ensure that Hungarians have access to the vaccine as soon as possible, and has issued a decree that will simplify and speed up the importation of foreign-made coronavirus vaccines and drugs into Hungary. .
To slow the spread of the community, we continue to avoid places where there are many people inside, preferably maintaining social distance, washing our hands frequently and thoroughly. Anyone who has received the official home quarantine order for a stay abroad or for any other reason must strictly comply. Anyone with symptoms should not go to the community but stay home and notify their GP by phone.
Free flu vaccines are already being given as part of health protection. The provision of influenza vaccines to GPs is ongoing.
The protection of elderly and chronic patients is of the utmost importance. Older people are also asked to pay close attention to themselves and general precautions. Visiting hospitals and nursing homes is prohibited. And nursing home administrators must do everything possible to prevent infection. If a focal point takes place in a social institution or anywhere else in the community, the epidemiological deployment unit will take the necessary actions.
In addition to maintaining health protection, the government is working on additional economic and family protection measures.
