Index – National – MSZP applied for diplomatic passport for politician who dropped a cigarette

[ad_1]

On Thursday, we wrote that one of the former MSZP members, Zsolt Legény, wanted to smuggle cigarettes across the border with Ukraine with a diplomatic passport. The Ukrainian border guards were surprised by the fact that the politician who arrived without accreditation showed a diplomatic passport, but the car had no diplomatic system.

During the inspection, he refused to consent to the inspection of the car, claiming diplomatic protection. Therefore, the Ukrainian authorities invited to the place representatives of the Hungarian consulate, who, however, did not give a guarantee for the Bachelor, so the car was finally inspected, in which the contraband cigarette was found.

Ukrainian border guards also released a video of the shameful case:

The politician with a law degree was a deputy for the Socialists until 2014, since then he has been vice president of the party branch of the Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg party, but resigned from all positions after dropping the case and resigned from the MSZP.

However, it was not clear why a politician whose term had expired six years ago had a diplomatic passport. That is why we wrote a letter to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, where our attention was drawn to the Facebook post of Tamás Menczer.

In it, the Secretary of State wrote that the MSZP had requested a diplomatic passport for Zsolt Legény from the Foreign Ministry. The Socialists claimed that he was helping the party’s foreign relations as an expert.

Of course, yesterday the passport was revoked with immediate effect.

Menczer wrote in his post.
