After receiving scattered crumbs of information about the arrival of coronavirus vaccines in Hungary in countless short MTI reports and carefully prepared Facebook videos today, Human Resources Minister Miklós Kásler finally announced a substantial development in his video of the afternoon.

In other words, on December 31, another 35,000 doses of vaccine will arrive in the country.

This will be assigned according to the priorities of the vaccination protocol just described. First, frontline healthcare workers, and within it, intensive care doctors and nurses can be vaccinated.

The minister stressed that the government has ordered more than 17 million doses of vaccine, as they want to achieve the level of vaccination required for herd immunity in society as soon as possible.

He also mentioned that

Clinical trials of the Russian vaccine in Hungary could start soon with 3,000 people.

He also said that, in parallel, Hungarian scientists are constantly working on the application of the latest therapeutic results.
