The mayor is not a protective aunt, the city is not a place to pay: Péter Márki-Zay began his Facebook post today.
The mayor of Hódmezővásárhely reacted to criticism that it was unacceptable that
a “committed opposition supporter” is relocated, replaced, or not hired
opposition mayors in a particular position. Therefore, it is necessary to point out that it is a job.
Explained in points, I first wanted to clarify that
appointments and removals are made on a professional and apolitical basis. We also offered jobs to several people this week, I didn’t ask anyone who they voted for.
The mayor also stated that whoever receives a leadership assignment can also choose their colleagues, and that while there is no need to love each other in a workplace, conflicts of interest are a serious obstacle everywhere.
He also highlighted:
Only those who do not work do not make mistakes. But he who steals, cheats or lies is inescapable.
Finally, he also stated that
who does not support a movement in principle, but to earn a lot of money without political work as a political appointee,
he is “in the wrong place” with him because he wants to abolish this very system.
On Friday, fashion designer Zoltán Herczeg reported on his impulsive Facebook post in “The Great Opposition Closer.” He criticized the opposition-led municipality of Újpest for saying that an acquaintance of a lawyer had been unfairly unemployed despite being a dedicated opponent and a graduate specialist. In his post, he also mentioned by name the mayor of Hódmezővásárhely, who, to his knowledge, among other opposition politicians, assured his support for the unemployed lawyer.
