The former MSZP treasurer’s company received a non-refundable state subsidy for a Lake Balaton pension from the Hungarian Tourism Agency, writes mfor.
This is noteworthy because among the winners of the tender of the government-supervised program of the Hungarian Tourism Agency (MTÜ) – a total of HUF 300 billion from the Kisfaludy hotel and pension development program – can only be found entrepreneurs. and pro-government politicians, such as Lőrinc Mészáros, Lajos Simicska or Demeter Ervin, however, this is not entirely the case, since the program’s website has been renewed in recent days, and the winners of the closed applications have also emerged, of which until now nothing could be known.
The list of winners includes, for example, MEFTER Magyar Folyam- és Tengerhajózási Zrt., Which received some 315 million HUF for the construction of the Rózsaporta pension in Balatonlelle. MEFTER is officially a low-turnover company. So much so that in 2019 it had a specific income of HUF 710 thousand and a loss of HUF 1 million, and its CEO was László Puch Jr.
The mfor also mentions that, according to Csaba Dömötör, Secretary of State in the Prime Minister’s Office, it is not on the basis of political sympathy, but on a professional basis, who decides who receives tourism development support. The developments are carried out by the Hungarians, who provide work for the Hungarians and contribute to the expansion of the Hungarian economy and tourism. They added that the Puch family also has experience in Hungarian tourism, as, for example, the Hotel Dráva in Harkány is managed by Eszter Puch.
