He accuses Krisztina Baranyi, the opposition mayor of Ferencváros, of anti-Semitism on the basis of an audio recording made at a municipal meeting online.

That’s right, let’s decide now. We do not sell the plot, we do not have any income from it. In turn, the bloody Jewish investor can’t build 1200 more square feet. Right?

From the audio recording, only these few sentences were communicated by the district leader, who was written on the fact page:

The editorial team of tenyek.hu received a shocking photo, in which it can be heard that the mayor of Ferencváros, Krisztina Baranyi, is a Jew herself.

According to the portal, the mayor of Ferencváros expressed it this way in a dispute over the sale of land owned by the municipality.

Krisztina Baranyi reacted to anti-Semitic accusations from her community. In his post, the mayor of Ferencváros wrote:

Perhaps it is clear on its own from the audio recording released today, but if not, Fidesz should make the recording of the entire conversation public: I am not Jewish to the businessman in the story, but that I questioned my discussion partners about its possible anti-Semitism.

According to Baranyi, these phrases were uttered during an online debate lasting several hours, where some deputies spoke out against the sale of a smaller plot.

At the time, there was no other argument left for their position than what I am actually asking provocatively on this topic: Are they not opposed to the origin of the investor?

– explained the mayor, who also said that it was not true that he decided to sell the plot against the decision of the deputies, since the board had already decided at the beginning of the year.

I am taking legal action against a press product that spreads lies

Krisztina Baranyi stated in her post.
