Index – National – József Szájer handed over his diplomatic passport

[ad_1]

True to his promise, his diplomatic passport was delivered by József Szájer, a former member of the European Parliament who fell into the Fidesz sex scandal, Blikk writes, citing a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade. Neither the Fidesz-KDNP delegation in Brussels nor the press department of the European Parliament told the tabloid if the politician had raised the 40 million guilders he would have received after 16 years of MEPs. Outgoing MPs are entitled to an additional monthly salary for each year spent in Parliament, in accordance with EP rules.

József Szájer and 24 other men participated in an organ in Brussels on November 27, 2020, which was attacked by Belgian police for violating assembly restrictions imposed due to the coronavirus epidemic. The Fidesz MEP fled the gutter, but was caught and found drugs in his backpack. He resigned from all political positions and left Fidesz after the scandal broke. The country’s public prosecutor’s office does not provide information on the ongoing investigation in Belgium and no investigation is launched against him for drug possession in Hungary.

Blikk knows that József Szájer is currently in Brussels.
