At the European Space Agency (ESA) conference, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Péter Szijjártó, announced that Hungary intends to send people into space in 2024. HUF 10 billion will be spent on the program.

Other goals include that by 2024 Hungary put an independent satellite into orbit. Furthermore, in cooperation with Russia, it will bring Hungarian scientific and measurement tools to the International Space Station by 2024.

In addition, a space mission is underway to build a fleet of microsatellites.
