Investigators from the Cybercrime Department of the National Bureau of Investigation of the Standby Police arrested a man suspected of committing sexual violence and child pornography, police.hu reported. The man was contacted by the Hungarian police on the basis of an alert from the United States authorities, after receiving an alert through the ICSE (International Database on Child Sexual Exploitation) database operated by Interpol. US authorities have asked for help in identifying the victim of child pornography, who was unknown at the time.

After examining the recordings, Hungarian cyber investigators determined the boy’s identity and identified a man in Budapest who was suspected of committing the violence.

On December 14, 2020, investigators arrested and interrogated the man from Budapest, then seized computer equipment from his apartment. The suspect was detained by the police and presented to the prosecution for arrest for crimes of sexual violence and child pornography.

Investigators suspect that the man has committed a similar crime to the detriment of other children, so they will continue the investigation to investigate this.

The man forced his then-year-and-a-half son, who also had a photo taken, to tolerate a sexual act.
