A few days ago, the local government noted that 417 million HUF had been deducted from its account, reports the Erzsébetváros municipality. According to the announcement, the movement of money is due to a contract concluded under the leadership of the former mayor, Zsolt Vattamány de Fidesz.

In the contract, the previous municipality management promised to transfer 45 residents of three houses on Király Street to fully renovated apartments within a few weeks. And the houses emptied in this way are sold. They did not even have the opportunity to solve the housing of so many people in so long, they did not get it. In this way, however, a contract was breached, for which the local government must pay a fine of 9.7 billion HUF in accordance with the terms and conditions signed by the Cotton

– read in the Communication.

The local government chaired by Mayor Péter Niedermüller also draws attention to the fact that one of the houses in question is under monumental protection, for which it was necessary to obtain the consent of the minister responsible for monumental protection, Gergely Gulyás, for sale.

Cotton wool entered into a contract to acquire it, although they had no influence over it. (They couldn’t even get the permit.) What is surprising is that, according to the Vattamányék contract, this is also the reason why the local government pays the 9.7 billion HUF.

– writes the Erzsébetváros City Council.

According to the city management, the problem with the previously concluded contract was that the houses would have been sold for 2,150 million HUF, but it was mandatory to compete for more than 25 million HUF, in this case the houses would have sold for 100 times that value. required by law.

There is also the suspicion of a crime, as they promised to pay 9.7 billion HUF without budget funding.

– adds the Erzsébetváros City Council in its statement.

They are also informed that, at the proposal of Mayor Péter Niedermüller, the municipal representative body decided in its last meeting that the municipality will challenge the contract in court.

The court is asked to prohibit the group of companies from charging a fine until it decides. In parallel, they are also examining whether a criminal complaint is justified.

At his press conference on Wednesday, Péter Niedermüller spoke about the fact that the municipality of Erzsébetváros is not interested in

it’s about low-value glass or multi-million dollar fraud, just as it’s not about where the perpetrator belongs.

The mayor has promised that those who do not use public money legally and do not respect public money will take action against them.
