In fact, the more than ten thousand people who supported the University of Theater and Film Arts (SZFE) defended the Orbán government on Friday afternoon, Minister Gergely Gulyás explained on the evening podium of Polgári Mulató’s night. According to the head of the ministry – it results from the article on atv.hu – they look at what is happening with feeling, because they would never have thought that a “Baliberal clique” wants a Christian Democratic cabinet to supervise its operation. And if you understand well, they are showing that the previous order must be restored and that the university should not be run by an independent foundation, without state or governmental influence, but by the Orbán government.

Gergely Gulyás closed a somewhat cynical line of thought. He added that he did not believe that the SZFE situation was among the fifty most important issues in Hungary, and this not only from a specific political point of view, but also from the point of view of the “daily life of the people”.
As for the patronage of the foundation headed by Attila Vidnyánszky, which prevailed over SZFE without significant dialogue, the Orbán government did not give a political order, the foundation is simply a better maintenance model.
But he also spoke of not accepting the blockade that the students had placed on the SZFE buildings, and he believes that many people do so specifically because they expect someone to use some kind of violence against them somewhere. According to him, the Orbán government can do one thing, and that is to provide the university with better conditions and, if necessary, more budgetary resources. However, they are willing to do it for all foundations.
