There was a serious accident at the performance of the Hungarian National Circus in Mosonmagyaróvár on Saturday afternoon. A motorcycle artist fell from a structure called a death ball.

The accident was reported by Bors. In production, five motorists circled the closed lattice sphere at high speed. When one of them was injured on Saturday, there was a growl of fear from the audience, production was interrupted, the lights were turned on and several ran towards the injured. The man was immediately taken to hospital.

József Richter, director of the Hungarian National Circus, told the tabloid the details.

One of the motorcyclists, Raffael, had a flat tire on one of his bikes, so he couldn’t keep up and flew out of the already open sphere. Unfortunately, this is a case of thousands of performances once they occur. What’s more, it happened just at a time when the sphere was open. Thank God the shock was greater than the accident itself. This was the last production of the performance, after which only the end would have come, which of course was lost. We notify the ambulance immediately

The director told the newspaper, adding that he had stood in front of the audience after the accident and said that, unfortunately, this accident had happened, the performance of course would stop. The spectators then left the circus tent in order. All she knows about the man’s condition is that all four of his ribs are broken.
