Index – National – Due to demonstrations, we can expect closures in Budapest

[ad_1]

Due to the epidemic situation, the programs carried out on the occasion of the usual national holiday of October 23 will be canceled, the flag raising will be carried out only in Kossuth Lajos tér, therefore on Friday on shortened route 2, Haller utca – Soroksári út and Kossuth Lajos square (Széchenyi Quay). BKK recommends bus 15 or 115 for travelers to Szent István körút.

On Friday afternoon and evening, between 4 p.m. and 10 p.m., the demonstrations will change the route of several flights from the center, making it worthwhile to take the subway instead of the surface flights. Due to the demonstrations, the quay of the Technical University, the Szent Gellért square, the Szabadság bridge, the Fővám square, the Belgrade quay, the Március 15 square, the Kossuth Lajos street, Astoria, the Rákóczi street and the Uránia route will be closed. Starting at 8 am on Friday morning, only BKK vehicles can enter Rákóczi út.

Surface flights affected by the closures will change as follows:

  • Buses 5, 7, 8E, 110, 112, 133E and 178 run in two sections from 5 in the afternoon until the locks are opened:
  1. From 6 pm from Pest terminal to Blaha Lujza tér, from Buda terminal to Szent Gellért tér. In the lost section, it is worth taking the metro lines.
  2. From 6 pm until the closures are released, from the Pest terminal to the Blaha Lujza Square, from the Buda terminal to the Astoria. In the lost section, take the M2 metro.
  • Bus 9 passes along the Grand Boulevard instead of Bajcsy-Zsilinszky út – Kiskörút between five and three quarters of six in the afternoon, so it does not affect the stops between Kálvin tér and Báthory utca – Bajcsy-Zsilinszky út, as well as the Szentkirályi utca stop towards Óbuda sem. On Grand Boulevard, you can catch bus 9 at the stops for night flight 923.
  • Buses 15 and 115 run a shortened route between five in the afternoon and three-quarters of six between Nyugati train station and Gyöngyösi Street and Árpád Bridge.
  • Trams 47 and 49 do not affect the stops in Pest between five thirty and three quarters of six in the afternoon, instead of Deák Ferenc tér you can travel to Batthyány tér with him.
  • Trolleybus 72 is expected to operate in two sections between 5:00 and 6:00 pm: from Orczy square to Fővám square, and from Zugló train station to Deák Ferenc square.
