In the tragedy, a mother and a nine-year-old son were killed and one of their brothers and schoolmates of similar age was seriously injured. They had to be taken to the hospital by ambulance helicopter. At the scene, the St. Martin Child Rescue Service and the National Ambulance Service joined forces with the injured, and a 16-year-old boy and a 40-year-old man were admitted with minor injuries.

The accident was caused by the fact that when a car wanted to veer off the main road on Skewer Road onto the road opposite the bus stop, the Ford Transit driver behind him noticed it so late and threw the steering wheel to the side to avoid a collision. So he drove straight to a busy stop. The impact was so strong that the little one who was found complete flew 10 meters.
