Index – National – Dora Dúró: the joint declaration of Ferenc Gyurcsány and Jobbik goes beyond everything

Issuing a joint statement with Ferenc Gyurcsány on October 23 goes beyond anything Jobbik has done thus far, writes Dora Dúró in his statement.

In a statement sent to the MTI, the politician states:

The events of autumn 2006 have a dividing line, a determining role of identity in our lives and in Hungarian politics. People’s eyes were shot, our own police committed massive violations against peaceful protesters, and the most significant series of demonstrations in the last thirty years took place on the streets of Budapest, because then-Prime Minister Ferenc Gyurcsány lied “tomorrow , night and afternoon “. A new era has begun in the lives of many of us, as well as in Hungarian politics, when the successors of the Communists put down the 50th anniversary of the 1956 anti-communist revolution. Without the events, and without the people who fought selflessly in the streets at that time, Jobbik would not have been strengthened, would not have reached parliament. From the prominence of the protests against Gyurcsány to reaching a community with the former KISZ secretary, the bloody 50th anniversary of the 1956 revolution and the successor party of the MSZMP on October 23, it means that they reject anti-communism and deny political generation

– believes, and adds that Our Country does not do this: just as its president and several prominent politicians took a leadership role in the fight against the communist tyrant then, it is no different now.

Ferenc Gyurcsány should not be sent to power, but to jail. Failure to do so and lack of responsibility are clearly the responsibility of Fidesz.

Dora Dúró said.
