In our previous material, we wrote in detail that according to the government decree, the right to a protection certificate can be proven in three ways:
- If I got the vaccine. In this case, the card is invalid because it is still a question of how long the vaccine will provide protection.
- If it has been confirmed that I have a coronavirus infection. It is valid for half a year from the end of the disease.
- If it is suspected that I have contracted the infection and this is confirmed by a subsequent antibody test. So the card is valid for four months.
So the rules are clear, however the stories that have reached our editorial office are about various anomalies.
Delays
Our lucky reader was vaccinated with her husband one day, but unlike her, her husband has already obtained the protection card. Another writer of the letter reported much the same, they and their partner received the first dose on March 4, and so far only one of them received the plastic card.
Anikó’s case is also about a slip, she was vaccinated in January, but she still does not have a license, while many of those who were vaccinated after that have.
Why did you get it?
Zita reported to the Index that she had been confirmed to be infected with the virus in late September 2020, with chronic fatigue, muscle and joint pain, and a syndrome of prolonged and partial loss of taste and smell.
Instead, I recently received a certificate of protection which, to my greatest surprise, is valid until July 6.
As we reported, actor and presenter András Csonka was vaccinated in early March. In his Instagram story yesterday, he talked about receiving the identity card that says the vaccination date, but he was also mailed another plastic card effective April 2. In fact, he had contracted the infection in the past, but it had already happened in late September, half a year later.
No infection, no vaccination
Issuing Mónika’s identity card seems completely unjustified:
I recently received my safety certificate, although to the best of my knowledge, I did not have a positive test, although I was on PCR. I did not get vaccinated and, as far as I know, I did not contract the disease.
The husband of another of our readers tested positive for antigen on January 25, but the man died in late February, otherwise not from complications from the infection. The widow then received the identification of her deceased spouse.
To his question, he said, he had learned so much from the authorities that they had mailed him based on data from the Electronic Health Services Area, but he no longer received a meaningful answer as to why the deceased’s card had been sent.
He also arrived as a minor
We also managed to speak to a postal delivery man who knows the residents well from their addresses and experiences incomprehensible things on a weekly basis:
These packages are delivered without floor or door numbers. It is about a deceased person and even a minor who was not sick or vaccinated.
