In recent days, János Bencsik, a member of parliament who resigned from Jobbik, announced the launch of a new political movement at the beginning of the year. The organization that breaks the flag of the former right-wing politician, known as Civil Response, has no less ambition to tackle
they cannot be identified with the policies of NER or O1G.
However, this is not a unique business. Opposition parties have recently spoken out in favor of a joint list, opening the door to a series of political initiatives seeking to absorb protest voters from both the right and the left.
However, the start-up of smaller political organizations that are breaking wings is significantly hampered by the planned amendment to the Electoral Code. If János Volner’s proposal is accepted, they will have to run in 71 individual parliamentary constituencies instead of 27 to create a party list.
Bencsik said about the launch of Civic Answer in 2022 to search the Index:
We have not announced the start of a movement, but a movement. If this has social support, we will stand for the next parliamentary elections. However, I can already state that: it seems inconceivable to start with Orbán or Gyurcsánny.
It turned into a fun party
The Hungarian Two-Tailed Dog Party has indicated that it does not wish to be part of the opposition coalition either. Although it has been said previously that only a minimum number of candidates will be nominated in electoral districts where the victory of the opposition will not depend on them, there will be no possibility of this due to Volner’s proposal, so the MKKP must nominate candidates in districts wavy too.
It is difficult to judge the organizational status of two-tailed people, but declaring the number of candidates needed to make the list is not an undeniable task for them.
Frustrated national radicals
The László Toroczkai Our Country Movement was founded by politicians who left Jobbik after the 2018 elections. Their departure was justified by the fact that the party abandoned its previous radical national views. Politicians in Nuestro País are often criticized by opposition parties for voting with the government several times in parliamentary elections, but the party denies that it is a satellite party of Fidesz.
Our Country also declared that it did not want to cooperate with either the united opposition or the Orbans. It is also impossible for them to bring the required number of candidates.
It would be an alternative to the left
Earlier this year, Tibor Szanyi left the MSZP, and he and his colleagues founded a party called ISZOMM. Szanyi justified his decision on the basis that he did not see the representation of left-wing values in the Socialist Party and, according to him, Hungarian society is in great need of this. ISZOMM was recently tested in the provisional parliamentary elections in Borsod, where the Szanyi people were backing an independent candidate, Ádám Tóth. Tóth finally got a little more than 2 percent in the lucky elections.
Szanyi would also run as a candidate for prime minister, but his party’s candidates would also be weighed in the pre-election. If the coalition of opposition parties refuses to do so, they will run independently in the 106 electoral districts. There is no information yet on who could be considered a candidate for ISZOMM in 2022.
