In a petition, the citizens of the Corvinus University of Budapest support the University of Theater and Film Arts (SZFE) and speak out in defense of the autonomy and freedoms of the university.

The government can only intervene in higher education in a continuous dialogue with interested parties, in accordance with the principles established in the Magna Carta University of European universities and with the utmost respect for the rights enshrined in the Basic Law.
Corvinus was the first public university reserved by a foundation. Support for SZFE had already arisen before, but the discussion of the declaration of solidarity encountered opposition from the rector.
