The vaccine arrived on Saturday

The first shipment of the Pfizer-BioNTech coronavirus vaccine arrived in Hungary on Saturday morning. The vaccine, manufactured in Puurs, Belgium, the first in Europe to be approved, is delivered to domestic vaccination points by police insurance. The first shipment contains 9,750 doses of vaccine, allowing 4,875 health workers to be vaccinated. According to government information, the first shipment of vaccines will be followed by newer ones in the coming weeks, and the vaccination of healthcare workers will continue at the same rate for several weeks.

In the first half of 2021, pharmaceutical authorities are expected to authorize new vaccines, and then additional vaccines may arrive in Hungary to begin mass vaccination of the population.

After the capital, the vaccine also reached Debrecen and Nyíregyháza: in Debrecen, about a third of the 6,000 health workers requested the vaccine, and in Nyíregyháza a similar proportion requested the vaccine.

Expanded epidemiological preparation

To maintain health protection, the government also extended epidemiological preparedness for half a year. People under the age of 14 are not included in the 10-person limit for private events and family gatherings. The government has also suspended flights from Great Britain. The protection of elderly and chronic patients is of the utmost importance. The elderly are also asked to pay more attention to themselves and general precautions. Attention is drawn to the fact that hospitals and nursing homes are still prohibited from visiting them. There is still a curfew between 8:00 p.m. M. And 5:00 a. Stores, with the exception of pharmacies and gas stations, can stay open until 7 p.m. and then open at 5 a.m. at the earliest when the curfew expires. Restaurants cannot accept guests, they can only stay there to bring food. Hotels cannot accept tourists, only guests arriving for business, economic or educational reasons. The use of leisure facilities, including in particular fitness rooms, indoor swimming pools, museums, libraries, cinemas and zoos, skating rinks, is prohibited.

High schools and universities have moved to a digital agenda. To stop the spread of the community continues
