Péter Köves, Tolna County Disaster Management Spokesperson, said the mobile disaster management laboratory is making continuous measurements in the immediate vicinity of the accident, and the Kalocsa fire brigade continues to block the spread of chlorine gas with a protective beam . The incident affected 47 plant employees, 28 of whom were taken to a hospital for examination and three are being held indoors for observation.

Pál Győrfi, spokesman for the National Ambulance Service, reported that thirteen people had suffered serious poisoning and 15 mild poisoning. Symptoms of gas poisoning included sore throat, tearing, coughing, and shortness of breath. The wounded were taken to the Dunaújváros, Székesfehérvár, Szekszárd and Kecskemét hospitals for care and observation.
