Gergely Gulyás, the minister in charge of the Prime Minister’s Office, announced the agreements on the procurement of vaccines by the Hungarian government in China and Russia. In a post he posted on Facebook, he wrote:
We also ask the European Commission to: make the contracts concluded by Brussels public!
The documents revealed that the state has ordered a total of five million doses of the Chinese vaccine, of which one dose of the vaccine costs 30 euros, plus five percent VAT. The vaccine is delivered to Hungary in four installments. Most doses (3.5 million) of the Chinese vaccine are expected in mid-June.
According to the contract, the vaccine has a shelf life of 6 months from the date of delivery.
The seller, to whom the Chinese side delivers the vaccine, is Danubia Pharma Pharmaceuticals and Services Ltd., while the buyer is the National Center for Public Health.
The seller agrees to treat the net purchase price as fixed and may not increase it in any way.
The contract was signed on January 29 and was signed on behalf of the government by the national director Cecília Müller.
It was agreed to buy one million three thousand doses of the Russian vaccine. The price is almost $ 10 per serving and the Hungarian state pays a total of $ 19.9 for the two servings. The vaccine is delivered to the country in three installments.
The contract, like the Chinese one, was also signed by Cecília Müller.
