“Sir, I came for my gun,” presumably the bodyguard could have told the airport employee.

British Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab was on an official trip to the United States. On the trip he was accompanied by a policeman as a bodyguard. The police officer with the delegation had just returned to London Heathrow Airport when it turned out that there was a small problem.

“We take this matter very seriously,” a police spokesman tried to reassure everyone. It reported that “the police officer in question was suspended from service until the investigation was completed.”

On the flight, panic caused the police pistol to disappear. The machine could only start late after everything had been verified. Finally, a passenger found the gun in the bathroom.

A year earlier, David Cameron’s police bodyguard had been suspended. According to the report, he left a loaded pistol and the prime minister’s passport on a scheduled flight.

The case was also reported by CNN.
