Cecília Müller started Wednesday’s briefing on operational personnel with data from the last 24 hours.

Medical care is prepared for the highest level of care. All conditions are available in concentrated designated hospitals. The front-line institutions keep the ambulance service informed to attend to patients as soon as possible. Second-line institutions – mostly university clinics – are also ready, “because we take care of the place of care in a timely manner,” said the national medical director, who also noted that the number of hospital admissions is increasing along with the number of of infections. They usually present with severe to moderate symptoms.

The medical director responded to news in the media in recent days that a 68-year-old man with the coronavirus who died in April was not found on record. According to Cecília Müller, the man is in the central register.

Probably not found. It is a pity that this news has been assumed by several news portals without checking it. I ask you to look at the authentic data, such as koronavirus.gov.hu. There is no need to artificially excite and multiply the voltage.

The national medical director highlighted.

“Our testing capacity is constantly growing. The National Blood Supply Service has also joined the circle of laboratory tests, where PCR tests are now carried out ”, announced Cecília Müller.

There is no capacity limit for laboratory tests. We carry out tests for all persons of epidemiological interest

The medical director stressed.

There has been an increase in the demand for influenza vaccination, which Cecília Müller thanked, and at the same time advocated vaccination and informed her that the district or district institution should be notified if the vaccine runs out.

Experience has shown that GPs undertake to vaccinate 10-15 people a day, precisely so that the applicant does not meet patients waiting to be seen in the waiting room.

The vaccine will be there in practices, GPs can start vaccination next week

– Cecília Müller emphasized, but she also said that no one is late for anything, because the appearance of the seasonal flu in Hungary is expected in late January and early February. It takes two weeks for full protection to develop.

The vaccine will be available free of charge to everyone.

It attracted attention.

Anyone who does not comply with epidemiological regulations can be fined up to 150,000 HUF. The rate of warnings is high. Police have conducted 11,556 on-site inspections in the last 24 hours.

As a question for journalists, it was raised whether the operational staff would examine the proposals of the Hungarian Medical Chamber. Cecília Müller replied:

Of course, at the same time, we are constantly looking for how existing rules can be enforced more vigorously. Time to enforce these more strongly

– and at the same time thanked the MOK for their cooperation.
