There are not many new rules in the provisions, which will be mandatory as of September 21, to extend the use of masks, but they must be complied with, since non-compliance is also punishable, the national medical director said on Friday. Cecília Müller emphasized that the goal of the new provisions was not to restrict everyday life, but to apply existing rules more strictly.

He recalled that as of Monday, the use of masks will be mandatory in shopping centers, cinemas, theaters, museums, libraries, post offices and other customer services, as well as in addition to public transport, at its stops, waiting rooms and sports facilities. Cecília Müller: highlighted under the provision

the scarf will no longer be enough to cover the face, a regular mask should be used.

Non-compliance with the rules can be sanctioned, operators can call the person to wear a mask, but they can also request police help. In addition, public health professionals in government offices can register starting Monday.

Cecília Müller also spoke about the fact that the PCR test will also be officially priced as of Monday, no healthcare provider or laboratory can request more than 19,500 HUF for these tests, regardless of whether they provide private or local care.

In this regard, he indicated that the vast majority of tests have been free so far, and will continue to be if the tests are carried out for epidemiological interest, by order of a hospital or general practitioner.

This price must be paid by those who would voluntarily test or activate the two weeks of mandatory home quarantine.

No other costs can be charged in addition to this price. Regarding the changes, the national medical director also said that entertainment and catering establishments can only be open from Monday until 11 p.m. When take-out food is prepared, staff can stay inside after the indicated time, but cannot receive guests. He noted that events with more than 500 people cannot yet be held.

Cecília Müller also spoke about the introduction of the mandatory measurement of body temperature in kindergartens, schools and vocational training institutions as of October 1. A parent with a preschooler and a lower grade child can only go to the measurement point, here only with a mouth mask.

He stressed that as the number of positive coronavirus cases increases, the number of older people in need of hospital care is also expected to increase. In this regard, refuting the news in the press, he said that the care of people with moderate and severe coronavirus infection is both personal and material, and the objective is to centralize attention.

In relation to the latter, he pointed out that an individual patient may not be taken to the nearest hospital, but to an institution designated for the treatment of coronavirus patients, where all the conditions for treatment are met.

According to the decision of the operational staff, if the needs make it necessary, the Kiskunhalas mobile hospital will be included in the care, but there will be a “military hospital” in the area of the Szent László Hospital and another in Tatabánya, the MTI said.
