The operational tribe held a press conference Monday morning. The national medical director, Cecília Müller, presented the daily data and said that Hungary and Hungarian medical care are on the verge of epidemiological readiness. In order not to have to impose restrictions that restrict the population in daily life, it is very important that

everyone takes the rules seriously.

Cecília Müller explained that in the last 24 hours the new coronavirus infection (Covid-19) had been detected in 876 new Hungarian citizens, thus increasing the number of infected in Hungary to 18,866. Cecília Müller added:

This does not mean that there are as many patients in the country – as the number of active positive cases, which now stands at more than 13,000 – as many may be asymptomatic or produce mild symptoms.

He stressed, it can also be seen that about a week the number of new positive cases discovered each day is approaching. As can be seen from the fact that the age distribution has changed compared to the spring period: in the spring the proportion of people over 65 was over twenty percent, now the age group 20-29 years exceed that number. However, even in this case, it is true that many people can even carry the virus asymptomatically.

Cecília Müller stressed that as of today it is no longer enough to cover our mouths, we have to wear a nose with a handkerchief, handkerchief and a regular mask. She highlighted the list of places where wearing a mask is mandatory. As you said, the epidemiological importance of this is that we do not transmit the virus, as there are many people with unknown health status, especially indoors, and there is a high risk of mass disease.

When asked if a return to shopping time zones is expected, any tougher action, Cecília Müller said:

Everything is going according to the defense plan, exactly to avoid it. To avoid the listed measures, we urge everyone to follow the rules. We will always decide to introduce new measures according to the dynamics of the epidemic.

Consulted by a journalist, Cecília Müller also said that so far more than 600,000 tests had been carried out and that this was a negligible part of what they were paid. For people in quarantine, it has been tested for free by the authority and will continue to be. A coronavirus test must be paid, and a maximum of 19,500 HUF can be requested, even if the person returning home from abroad cannot, does not want to be quarantined for ten days and if someone tests it voluntarily, that is , when it is not epidemiologically justified.
