Levente Boros Bánk is the new owner of the media market – the Hungarian nation has been informed. The bi-monthly magazine was purchased by the director of the Media View Center.

The political scientist told the newspaper that he wanted an independent professional newspaper from the revamped Media Market. The new owner said:

This document is an opportunity to give a professional and independent interpretation of the functioning of the media market in Hungary and in the world, this is our ars poetica. Until now, the Baliberal narrative has prevailed on this issue, whether we look at the domestic context or the international perception of the Hungarian media market.

On the question of whether he did not fear that the newspaper would be registered as a right-wing man due to his activities thus far, Boros Bánk Levente answered:

In the world of the media, false interpretations are often emerging that are skewed in a Baliberal direction. […] Therefore, we look beyond each media product and analyze the operation of the companies and owners that produce them, as well as the political background and the engines. In all this, I would emphasize not the political attitude but the professional one. The Media Market will also be open to left-wing media, we would like to conduct interviews with the leaders and owners of the Hungarian left-wing media, and they too can present their innovations.

At the end of the interview, he said that they also deal with social networks, including the regulation of the area in different countries and the phenomenon of fake news.

The first issue will be published digitally in early November and a print version is planned for this year.
