In response to press releases on the BKV public procurement procedure for the rental of used buses, Deputy Mayor Kata Tüttő asked the BKV Supervisory Board, in which delegates from all factions of the general assembly they had a seat to examine the regularity of the public procurement procedure.
Mayor Gergely Karácsony noted with satisfaction the announcement by the CEO of BKV, Tibor Bolla, that to ensure full transparency of bus rental
BKV publishes the public procurement documentation on its website.
At the same time, the mayor called for companies owned by the capital’s local government: their public acquisitions are advertised in such a way that companies with experience abroad cannot bid at all.
Meanwhile, the president of Fidesz-KDNP in Budapest, Zsolt Láng, wrote a letter to Gergely Karácsony, in which he expected the following questions
- how a wealth management company founded by a company with experience abroad, among others, won the BKV public procurement tender
- if the mayor considers the procedure to be good practice
- how a company founded on May 11, 2020, exactly 7 days before the deadline to submit the BKV tender, could have submitted the best offer.
Láng also finds something to criticize in the reference of the winning company, and would like to know if the mayor will take over the task of supervising BKV from Deputy Mayor Kata Tüttő as a consequence of the case.
