The National Concessions Office is a central budget body that acts as a central office under the authority of the Minister responsible for overall political coordination (hereinafter the Prime Minister’s Chief of Staff). The Office does not have an economic organization. The Ministry, headed by the Prime Minister’s Chief of Staff, is responsible for the management of the Office,
in the September 4 edition of the Hungarian Gazette.
He has been earning 1.95 million guilders since last fall.
The National Concessions Office as the central office
- collects and organizes information on state concession activities, national and international practices,
- prepares economic, social and legal impact studies and decision-making documents on state concession activities
- proposes the transfer of the temporary right of the Prime Minister’s Chief of Staff to carry out certain exclusive state economic activities under a concession contract,
- Develop and operate a uniform monitoring methodology, procedure, and system for state concession activities and procedures.
We are talking about a concession, for example, in the case of tobacconists or national casinos, when a kind of association is created between the public (state) sector and private companies. Under the Concessions Law, the conclusion of said contract is always preceded by a call for bids from the state or local government.
