Antal Rogán’s wife did not receive a loan from a state bank and did not take possession of the land, the minister in charge of the Prime Minister’s Office told the Hungarian Nation.

Previously, 444 claimed that a few weeks before Antal Rogán’s third wedding, on November 20, 2020, the family of the minister’s new wife had purchased land in three settlements in Borsod for a huge sum. They include forests, pastures, vineyards, and arable land. The ownership of the acquired land is divided equally between the five buyers, namely Barbara Rogán, her mother, her father, her father’s business partner in Nyírség and a woman in Nyírség. The document indicated that the loan from the Budapest State Bank had been used for this purpose.

A short time later, the Index was the first to indicate that, in the Land Registry, based on topographic numbers, the property deeds did not refer to sale or purchase transactions or bank mortgages.

For the first time, Antal Rogán, head of the Prime Minister’s Office, addressed the public for the first time. The minister said:

The entire land acquisition case was used by the left-wing press for a hate campaign based on lies. Before the articles were published, none of the organs approached me, they were not curious to know if the information they obtained was true. My wife did not receive a loan from a state bank and no land became her property. Also, you don’t want to own land in the future. Neither my wife nor her family want to be public figures, nor do they want to appear in public, but the family has taken the necessary legal action regarding the fake articles that have been published, which of course does not happen overnight.

According to the newspaper, the contract was never fulfilled and the minister’s wife and family did not buy the land. The parents of the minister’s wife commissioned a lawyer to refute the fake news. The lawyer told Magyar Nemzet that a correction would be initiated in the affected left-wing newspapers and portals under the Press Law.

So far, Budapest Bank has been unable to comment on bank secrecy. Banks are subject to bank secrecy and cannot provide information about clients or loans. The family has released the Budapest Bank from bank secrecy in recent days, for which the bank has issued the following statement.

Contrary to press releases published on February 2, 2021 and later, Budapest Bank Zrt. It did not enter into a loan agreement with Barbara Obrusánszki and its parent companies for the purchase of land and consequently did not disburse a loan for this purpose. All statements and assumptions to the contrary are false and misleading. At the same time, Budapest Bank Zrt. It occupies a dominant position in the credit market related to the purchase of land through its favorable credit constructions. In all cases, Budapest Bank Zrt. It carries out its loan activities in accordance with the defined operating rules and in accordance with the applicable legal regulations.

Simultaneously with the publication of our article, the parents of Zsolt György Obrusánszki and Györgyné Zsolt Györgyné Obrusánszki sent a request for a press correction to the Index, which we will follow below.

The family of Antal Rogán’s wife was rumored to cover 95 percent of the purchase price of a loan received from Budapest Bank. We falsely claimed that Barbara Rogán’s parents and business partners had acquired ownership of the land. The reality, on the other hand, is that Barbara Rogán’s parents, György Zsolt Obrusánszki and György Zsolt Obrusánszki, and their business partners did not acquire any land and the Budapest Bank did not grant them a loan.
