Amazing scenes took place on September 1, 2020 in the early afternoon at Dabas train station: the incident was reported by police.hu. The local traffic attendant noticed a white car driving from the station parking lot to the platform between tracks 2 and 3, approaching track 3 and then getting stuck on the rails with two wheels hanging from the platform. The man in charge of station security immediately diverted a Lajosmizse train to the other track and then called the police.

The uniformed officers who arrived searched the vehicle or questioned the driver and then asked emergency services for help to remove the trapped car from the rails at the accident-prone location. Information gathering quickly revealed that the 25-year-old vehicle had previously been taken out of service so that no traffic could have continued with it. The 47-year-old driver had a strong smell of alcohol and was therefore tested for alcohol in accordance with the regulations, which turned out to be positive.

Since the driver couldn’t really drive, the man sitting next to him was driving the shift.

The non-routine driver has to be held responsible for a number of things, including endangering the safety of rail transportation, driving while intoxicated, and driving in a vehicle that has been taken out of service.
