Political analyst Zoltán Ceglédi has been working for Anna Donáth since January, Publicist is a humorist – wrote Wednesday at 444.hu. Momentum MEP answered Index’s question about why she had hired a well-known analyst to work as an assistant. Ceglédi has already told 444.hu:

He signed a one-year fixed-term contract, which means communication planning for the presentation of the work of the members of the European Parliament in Hungary, as well as writing texts, brainstorming for campaigns, strategic consulting and the analysis of the political agenda.

The portal also received a contract from Anna Donáth’s staff, according to which the analyst has been working as a local assistant to a member of the European Parliament since the beginning of January and therefore receives a gross monthly salary of HUF 865,000. By the way, 444.hu added that there is nothing extraordinary in the contract and the employment relationship, it is only interesting because “so far neither party has disclosed it.”

At the same time, the information that Ceglédi is working for the Momentum MEP can easily be publicly verified by anyone on the official website of Anna Donáth.

In the press and in the community space, Cegléd was mostly criticized after the news was published because he was a busy opinion leader, who speaks regularly as an independent analyst and also publishes on the politicization of the government and opposition side.

Ceglédi did not leave without a word on his Facebook page that he suddenly turned his attention after article 444.hu

I just want to add a personal comment to the following. On the fact that my decades-long career as a public figure has had virtually zero footprint in 444, almost the same age. I never had a thought or suggestion that I would have found noteworthy, much less never asked about anything. With which I have no problem, I accepted that the seats on the list were already filled forever in 2011, and built my own advertising. Therefore, the point of ignorance was not even reciprocal: I regularly shared their articles, referenced them in my own writings and newsletters, commented on their pages. In his case, however, »Zoltán Ceglédi« has not existed until now. This, in turn, may have spawned an eye-opening article for his readers on The Man He Only Knows From Elsewhere.

Wrote the political analyst.

I asked Zoltán Ceglédi for the position because of his more than a decade of experience and communication skills.

Anna Donáth replied to the Index. He also commented on what kind of analyst job they had hired. The first part of the task is to rank the issues that appear in the media and public discourse, and select a topic that fits the profile of the particular politician on whom it is worth expressing yourself.

After that, to formulate short, medium and long term political communication messages on the given topic, and then develop them on different platforms: social networks, traditional media, live presentations.

Anna Donáth added.
