It’s only been two weeks since I had that particular interview with Oprah Winfrey in which Meghan Markle and Prince Harry said they didn’t want to live in fear. There were a number of jaw-dropping things on the show that sparked the internet, the least of which appeared to be that the couple had already tied the knot before their lavish £ 32 million wedding, in as much secrecy as possible. The princess said in the interview that only she, the prince and the Archbishop of Canterbury who had added them were present at the ceremony. But, as it turned out, it doesn’t actually count as a marriage.
Although Meghan Markle and Prince Harry three days before the big wedding, they were told that yes, at least two witnesses would have been needed in the UK for this to become official. It is also no accident that the church did not approve two consecutive marriages. The Sun tried to find out, and they also asked for the marriage certificate, which includes the already known date.
The tabloid, by the way, is almost maniacally trying to squeeze everything out of the princely couple, recently even a private detective who spied on Meghan fell. As for the secret wedding, the couple, through their spokespersons, admitted that they did not officially become husband and wife in the three-person ceremony, writes the Daily Beast.
