A 6.4 magnitude earthquake struck Croatia on Tuesday. Its epicenter was below Petrinja, 58 kilometers south of Zagreb, and the 24sata.hr portal, citing Mayor Darinko Dumbović, writes that a child died from a natural disaster.
Another witness told the portal that the earthquake has had several fatalities, he saw the child die in the main square.
The city center was destroyed
Said the eyewitness. Darinko Dumbović confirmed to index.hr that he knows more about the dead. A kindergarten also collapsed, but there were no children. Army units were also deployed for the rescue.
The Croatian newspaper Jutarnji List published on its Facebook page a video of the devastation of the earthquake in Petrinja. Zagreb buildings also collapsed.
